What is the STEP Program?

The STEP Program is a 7 month, multi-faceted leadership development program focused specifically on equipping younger leaders for the ministry of comprehensive mission mobilization within churches. STEP takes place in beautiful Chiang Mai, Thailand, offering a learning environment within a cross-cultural context. STEP provides a well-rounded leadership development experience focused on:

Each element serves the overall goal of empowering younger leaders through encountering God, joining the GMMI office team, and learning about the Biblical background, tools, principles and strategies of comprehensive mission mobilization within churches.

Who is the STEP program for?

22-35 year old single, younger leaders from any national background who are committed disciples of Jesus Christ, have a growing passion for cross-cultural mission, and more specifically, the ministry of mission mobilization. They are teachable, wanting to be equipped to implement comprehensive mission mobilization within churches back in their home country. They are recommended by leaders within their denominational or church network setting.

Objectives

  1. Younger Leaders understanding and practicing wholehearted discipleship. 
  2. Younger Leaders understanding a broader, comprehensive approach to mission mobilization along with mobilization tools, principles and strategies for implementation within churches in their home context. 
  3. Younger Leaders understanding the Biblical, historical, redemptive plan of God among all humanity in and through the Great Commission. 
  4. Younger Leaders understanding and growing in practical office skills helpful for broader, comprehensive mission mobilization ministry within churches.

Community Life

+ Living in community with others from different cultural backgrounds
+ Sharing meals and cooking in community
+ Sharing rooms
+ Hi-Speed WIFI available throughout the facility
+ Bring your own laptop for office projects
+ Bring your own toiletries (shampoo/ conditioner, toothpaste, deodorant)

Daily Life

+ 5 office hours a day serving GMMI projects
+ Daily sessions in the Global Harvest Prayer Room
+ 2 hours a week of local outreach
+ Selected courses and teachings
+ In-depth study of God’s Word + Required readings/ reflection papers
+ Language learning
+ Personal mentoring, ongoing discipleship and pastoral oversight

Program Costs

Cost: 1250 USD
Scholarships Available Upon Request

Air travel and Visa costs are separate. We will help advise you on the necessary arrangements for visa and travel depending on your nationality.
